Call for Abstract and Submission Guideline
                    You are invited to submit an abstract for an Oral or a Poster Presentation at the Food Innovation Asia Conference 2019. Each abstract must be an original and unpublished work, not submitted for publication elsewhere (copyright problems fall entirely under the responsibility of the authors). One registration account is limited to a maximum of 2 papers. FIAC 2019 calls for an abstract submission in various categories as follows.

General information:  

Abstract Guideline

·       Use English language (American spelling and usage) and the SI system for measurements and units.

·       The title should clearly define the topic and contain no abbreviations. 

·       List ALL authors. Spell out completely the names of all authors using full first and last names.

·       Single paragraph abstract is required. 

·       Abstract text not exceeding 350 words, define all acronyms and abbreviations; do not cite references. 

·       The abstract should be informative and detailed. The content of the abstract should contain:

Ø  Introduction:explain the importance of the topic and the objective(s) of your work.

Ø  Materials and Methods: State what was done and how it was done.

Ø  Results: A summary of the main findings. Abstract without any results will not be considered.

Ø  Conclusion:Indicate the significance and application of the research findings.

Ø  Provide up to 5 key words for indexing purposes

Guideline for Poster Presentation

Poster Preparation and Display 

A partition board for poster presentation provided is approximately 120 cm (heightby 80 cm (width).Please ensure that your poster does not exceed this sizeIt is recommended that you leave a margin of at least 3 cm around the posterThe poster must be in English and should be legible from a distance of 2 m and exhibit clear headings and sub-headingsThe presentation must cover the material as cited in the abstractPlease see the general recommendation about poster preparation below

General recommendation

     • 3 cm for the papers title 

     • 1.5 cm for the names/addresses of the authors 

     • 1.5 cm for section headings such as introduction, results, legends for figures, tables 

     • 0.8 cm characters in height for the main text 

     • Use colors, graphical forms, figures, etcto improve clarity and capture viewers


The poster sessions are located on the 2nd floor at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). It is the authors’ responsibility to set-up and removes the posterEach poster has been assigned a code and must be mounted on the assigned board

To locate your board, look for the board marked with your poster code which is displayed in conference program (presentation listin the conferences website

The correct fixing material is double-sided gluespecial tape, which will be provided at theregistration desk.


The presenters are welcome to register and set-up the poster on June 13, 2019 during 7:00-8:30 amAllpostersmustbe removed by 5:00 pm on June 14, 2019.  Posters left on poster boards after that time will be removed and discarded. 

All presenters are required to present and engage with viewers in the poster sessions scheduled below

     June 13, 2019

       1:00-2:00 pm

          - The presence of a presenter is required

          - Poster Judging.

     June 14, 2019

       1:00-2:00 pm

          - The presence of the presenter is required

       3.00 pm:

          - Poster Award presentation.

To publish your article in APST [Asia-Pacific Journal of Science and Technology] 

Selected papers (~20 manuscripts) will be published in 2 issues of “the Asia-Pacific Journal of Science and Technology” (APST).  The APST is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Research and Technology Transfer Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University.  The APST is now indexed in SCOPUS, Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), Asean Citation Index (ACI), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).Participants who wish to be considered for APST publication please submit the full manuscript. All manuscripts will be considered by peer reviewers. And selected manuscripts for publication are expected to be announced within 2019.  Articles that are declined for APST publication can be published as a proceeding.  For the manuscript preparation and submission process, the authors must follow the journal requirement.  Please visit this web link
